Biography
Color has always played a major role in my life. I love wearing it and surrounding myself with beautiful color to express what I feel and to project what I hope to inspire others to feel. Color enlivens my paintings.
I grew up with artists in the family so inspiration was all around me. I took drawing and painting classes as a child at the Worcester Art Museum. In college I took a lot of art history and a studio drawing class. I became captivated by the intersection between what I was learning about psychology and what I already loved about painting, when I wrote my thesis on the “Jungian Symbols in Chagall’s Painting”.
Following a career into advertising and then finance, I got busy establishing my own household and family, taking art classes on the side since 1999.
Then I got serious about developing my art making. Four years ago, I was honored to join the Providence Art Club, as an Exhibiting Artist. Here I encountered amazing artists and wonderful teachers and I put the development of my painting at the forefront of my being. I have studied more, drawn more, exhibited more and pursued art with more diligence and passion.
